Job Purpose

Responsible for lead conversion and pre-sales / post-sales promotions through site engineers and van engineers. Coordinate with State Heads to plan and execute activities including the reimbursements relating to promotional events. Coordinate contractor loyalty programmes and ensure retention/ conversion.

Requirements and skills

Minimum Degree: MBA/PGDM/MS/MTech and graduate degree in Civil Engineering/business graduate

Minimum Years/type of experience: Minimum 7-8 years of diversified experience in various aspects of technical services, core construction, construction chemicals and institutional sales across India.

Area-specific knowledge:

  • Hands-on experience in technical services, core construction, customer handling for a multinational organization
  • Strong knowledge of quality, influencer management and customer requirements
  • Knowledge of cement industry, trade and non-trade sales and overall value chain
  • People development and performance management

Execution & Development

• Follow the GTM roadmap for new products and geographies including rural areas based on a competitive landscape with cross-functional teams

• Oversee daily promotions and journey cycle planning for the site engineers (pre-sales engineers) and van engineers (post-sales engineers) who undertake daily market visits, focused on retail markets (trade customers) in coordination with marketing teams

• Help with the launch of schemes and discounts in coordination with sales and pricing teams.

• Ensure execution of campaigns, technical workshops (at the site and labs) that are designed/approved by the central teams, and routine promotional meetings

• Oversee billing and reimbursements relating to promotional events / including distribution of gifts, and giveaways in coordination with local teams and dealers.

• Plan and execute events based on budgets in coordination with the state heads and their teams to increase influencer’s knowledge of products, and services for targeted markets and geographies

• Engage in zonal efforts on execution of influencer (Architects and Engineers) loyalty programmes in coordination with the local teams

Team management – Hiring and Skill Building

• Ensure teams on the ground have the right testing equipment, tools and artefacts required to convince the customer on the field.

• Participate in recruitment, selection and training of Relationship Executives (like Branch Managers), Site Executives and Van Executives (especially off-roll employees) in collaboration with the head of technical assistance and customer engagement.
