Head of Quality leads the quality assurance and control efforts within the organization,
ensuring that all products produced meet the standards of safety, reliability, and
compliance with industry regulations. Involved in strategic oversight of quality processes,
continuous improvement initiatives, and collaboration with various departments to enhance
product quality. Ensures implementation of General Product Safety and Quality policies
and ensures development of related guidelines, methods and processes at the plant.
Job Role Description
Tasks:
- Establishes and ensures company quality system.
- Is responsible for Product Safety.
- Manages completion of unit’s budget planning and General Quality related
reporting. - Decides and allocates financial and personnel resources.
- Acts as advisor to the business accountable management of the unit, in all General
Quality related issues. - Sets up and monitors unit related Quality improvement projects and oversees the
milestone and target achievements. - Ensures that quality standards for General Quality operations and processes are
met at all times. - Initiates improvements and ensures appropriate workflow environment.
- Liaises with external parties (i.e. vendors, clients) in contractual matters, related to
General Quality services, within given authority levels. - Ensures effective cooperation with both, internal and external stakeholders.
- Clarifies cases as an escalation point.
- Keeps abreast of industry and legal trends.
- Shares best practices across project teams and/or the business segments
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; a
Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) is preferred. - Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality management within the
manufacturing sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in railway
or heavy equipment production. - Skills:
